"Rites & Rituals" Adelaide Chamber Singers’ 2007 Subscription Series

Extent: 4 Programs, 7 Performances Recorded and broadcast on 8 December, 2007 by ABC Classic FM. Un-edited, un-mastered archive CD recordings were made of all the concerts in the 2007 Subscription Series. New works were presented at this event including performances on September 26, 28 and 29 which used a new performing edition, prepared by Carl Crossin, of the madrigal comedy in 3 Acts L’Amfiparnasso by Orazio Vecchi. Carl Crossin was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2007 “For service to music, particularly as a choral conductor and founding director of the Adelaide Chamber Singers.”Carl Crossin was Artistic Director and Conductor for this event. Graham Abbott (Australian Handel specialist)performed as guest conductor for the Australian premiere of Handel's so called Carmelite Vespers of 1707.
